Remember the Peacemakers & Disrupting the Narrative
The Labour History Project is pleased to be taking part in an Anzac Day event organised by The Art Not War Collective as part of the Remember the Peacemakers exhibition at Thistle Hall, Wellington, 20 April to 3 May 2015.
Disrupting the Narrative is a week-long event incorporating an exhibition of contemporary art, historical material and public talks that seeks to reframe existing narratives about New Zealand’s participation in the First World War and link it to contemporary issues. The purpose of this event is to provide a counternarrative to the official lOO-year commemorations of the war and provide people an opportunity to experience the ways in which ideas and concepts about war, conflict, resistance and survival can be interpreted in art. We hope you will join us for the week.
